K. William (Buddy) Mopper, DDS
Dr. Bud Mopper is an internationally renowned lecturer in esthetic dentistry with an emphasis on composite bonding using direct application techniques. Dr. Mopper is in private practice in Glenview, Illinois, where he has been doing minimally invasive dentistry with composite for 40 years. He co-authored, A Complete Guide to Dental Bonding, which was the first definitive book for the dental profession describing bonding techniques. Dr. Mopper has written many articles for dental periodicals on direct resin bonding. He has also made contributions to several dental textbooks. He is a Fellow and Founding Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Life member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and Fellow of the American College of Dentistry. He has taught direct resin bonding on a Continuing Education level at over 20 dental schools nationwide. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois Dental School. He has received two of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s most coveted awards for, “Lifelong Commitment to Providing Excellence in Continuing Education in Cosmetic Dentistry” and an award for “Outstanding Contribution to Cosmetic Dentistry”. He received the New York University College of Dentistry, Irwin Smigel Prize in Aesthetic Dentistry, and recently received a Lifetime Achievement award from the World Aesthetic Congress, in England, for “Outstand Contribution to Aesthetic Dentistry”. He is director of education for the Center for Esthetic Excellence, in Chicago, Illinois and is Co-founder and Chairman of Cosmedent, Inc. where he is responsible for its educational programs and product development.
