Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Awards Participation Credits for Achieving American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Accreditation
December 29, 2009 – Madison, WI – Due to the complex and comprehensive approach used to provide treatment that meets the standard of excellence required for achieving American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Accreditation, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) House of Delegates recently approved the award of 75 participatory credits for the successful achievement of Accreditation in the AACD. In awarding participatory credit, the AGD acknowledges the educational value in the AACD Accreditation process.
December 29, 2009 – Madison, WI – Due to the complex and comprehensive approach used to provide treatment that meets the standard of excellence required for achieving American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Accreditation, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) House of Delegates recently approved the award of 75 participatory credits for the successful achievement of Accreditation in the AACD. In awarding participatory credit, the AGD acknowledges the educational value in the AACD Accreditation process.
Individuals,who are also AGD members, will be awarded participatory credits upon successfully passing the AACD Accreditation Oral Examination portion of the AACD Accreditation protocol. Individuals who pass the oral examination in January 2010 will be the first awarded AGD participatory credits for their achievement.
“This initiativewas accomplished through the year-long joint effort of the AGD and the AACD’s American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry (ABCD).” said ABCD Chair Elizabeth Bakeman, DDS. “Both organizations are pleased to further acknowledge the educational value in providing dentistry to the standard required to achieve Accreditation in the AACD.”
