Charge & Primary Duties
Manages the affairs of the AACD Charitable Foundation (AACDCF).
  • Utilize personal connections by making contacts for the purpose of cultivating donors and eventually solidifying charitable gifts to the AACDCF
  • Procure silent/live auction items
  • Identify corporate contacts who have the potential of supporting the AACDCF
  • Assist with Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program volunteer recruitment and act as an “as needed” clinical resource for GBAS cases. 
  • Participate in your own grassroots fundraising in support of the GBAS program
  • Provide strategic long-term vision for the Foundation
  • Promote and support the Mission of the AACDCF/GBAS program
  • Make a minimum annual $50 personal cash donation and a minimum annual contribution of $1,000 through other fundraising efforts in support of GBAS (i.e. through whitening fundraiser participation or by hosting a local fundraiser)
  • Attend the AACD Scientific Session and actively participate in all Foundation related activities during the conference
Time Requirements
  • Attend the AACD Scientific Session and actively participate in all Foundation related activities during the conference
  • Attend two face-to-face meetings (June in Madison and February Chicago Midwinter Meetings)
  • Attend quarterly conference calls
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability to understand, promote, and support the AACDCF mission
  • Demonstrate previous support of and/or willingness to support the AACDCF via one or more of the following means:
    • Cash contribution(s)
    • Silent auction item procurement
    • Volunteer to restore the smile of a GBAS patient
    • Participate in the GBAS Whitening Fundraiser
  • Utilize personal connections to solidify funds for the AACDCF
  • Demonstrate previous experience serving on a non-profit board and/or previous general philanthropic involvement
