AACD Hosts 2026 Remote Annual Meeting
Updates from Team AACD
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) held its 2026 Remote Annual Meeting (RAM) on Thursday, March 26, 2026, via Zoom, bringing together members for updates on the organization’s ongoing initiatives and accomplishments.
AACD President Dr. Amanda N. Seay, DDS, FAACD, FAGD, FASDA, delivered the President’s Report, highlighting the Academy’s many successes over the past year. Areas of growth and development across the organization were shared, touching on key aspects of branding, marketing, lead generation, membership acquisition and retention, educational benefits including study clubs and publications, new partnerships, conference planning, accreditation, the Give Back a Smile program, volunteer engagement, leadership efforts, and financial performance. Members were invited to ask questions and engage in discussion, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the Academy.
Dr. Seay took a moment to recognize the dedication of the AACD Leadership and Professional Teams, noting that their commitment is central to advancing the Academy’s mission and supporting members across all programs and services. Attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand how ongoing initiatives are building momentum for the organization and fostering engagement within the AACD community.
The meeting concluded with the formal transfer of the gavel to incoming AACD President Dr. Mohan Bhuvaneswaran, BDS, FAACD, ushering in the 2026–2027 term of leadership. We look forward to officially celebrating the start of Dr. Bhuvaneswaran’s presidency at the Annual AACD Scientific Session on April 18th, during the Art of Achievement Celebration of Excellence Reception and Awards Dinner. This milestone represents a moment of continuity and renewed energy as the Academy continues to serve its members and advance the profession of cosmetic dentistry.
The 2026 RAM offered members a valuable forum to connect virtually, celebrate accomplishments, and gain insight into ongoing initiatives that will shape the coming year. The meeting reflected the Academy’s focus on collaboration, growth, and engagement, providing a comprehensive overview of AACD’s achievements and priorities.
