The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is proud to announce Mohan Bhuvaneswaran, MDS, FAACD as the new President of the Academy, officially installed during the Celebration of Excellence at AACD 2026 in Aventura, Florida.

Dr. Bhuvaneswaran’s election marks a historic milestone for the Academy as he becomes the first president in AACD history from outside of North America. His transition into leadership reflects the continued evolution of the AACD as a global community united by excellence in cosmetic dentistry, education, mentorship, and ethical patient care.

“This moment is not only historic for the Academy, but deeply meaningful for our global community,” said Dr. Seay. “It reflects who we are becoming…more inclusive, more diverse, and stronger because of it.”

In his inaugural address, Dr. Bhuvaneswaran spoke about the responsibility and honor of leading the Academy into its next chapter while emphasizing the AACD’s role as a worldwide leader in cosmetic dentistry.

“The AACD has never simply been an organization,” said Dr. Bhuvaneswaran. “It is a movement. A global standard-bearer. A family of clinicians who believe that cosmetic dentistry is not vanity. It is vitality.”

Dr. Bhuvaneswaran also expressed gratitude to the Academy’s past presidents, mentors, and members, recognizing the strong foundation built by previous leaders and reaffirming his commitment to the Academy’s mission and future growth.

“I accept this role with humility, courage, and unwavering commitment,” said Dr. Bhuvaneswaran. “I promise to serve this academy with transparency, dedication, and heart.”

The AACD congratulates Mohan Bhuvaneswaran, MDS, FAACD on this historic achievement and looks forward to the vision and leadership he will bring to the Academy in the years ahead.
