AACD Newsroom. Start (or Strengthen) Your Accreditation Journey at AACD 2026

Whether you’re just beginning your Accreditation journey or you’re already deep into the process, AACD 2026 is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

This year’s conference features a powerful lineup of Accreditation-focused workshops, hands-on learning, and support opportunities to help you start strong or keep your momentum going.

Learn From the Best With Accreditation-Focused Courses

At AACD 2026, you’ll have access to expert-led workshops designed specifically around Accreditation case types, criteria, and success strategies:

John Weston, DDS, FAACD
Six or More Indirect Restorations – A Focus on Accreditation Case Type 1
Case Type 1 is heavily weighted in Accreditation criteria due to the smile design elements involved. This course will demonstrate how to: “Ace Your Case” by improving the accuracy, efficiency, and predictability of all your anterior esthetic cases.

Bradley J. Olson, DDS, FAACD & Salvatore Lotardo, DDS, FAACD
Combined Accreditation and Criteria Workshops
This program will fulfill the first two workshop requirements of the AACD Accreditation process.  Drs. Olson and Lotardo will provide an overview of the credentialing process, requirements, and resources to assist dental professionals in achieving excellence.

Salvatore Lotardo, DDS, FAACD
Diagnose, Design, Deliver – Accreditation Deep Dive
In this interactive lecture we take a deep dive into the five Accreditation case types, discussing all the factors that are essential for successful submissions. Developing the skills, knowledge and a critical eye will not only help you on your Accreditation journey but allow you to reach your potential as the cosmetic dentist your patients deserve.

Brian P. LeSage, DDS, FAACD
Six or More Direct Resin Veneers – A Focus on Accreditation Case Type 5
This course will demonstrate composite mirroring skills. Attendees will use composite with various layering techniques to build in polychromicity, incisal edge halo and incisal translucency. The course will also cover microesthetic principles, such as secondary and tertiary anatomy, and how to attain the appropriate finish, polish, and luster.

Zach Sisler, DDS, AAACD
Accreditation Photography: Tips, Tricks, and Everything in Between
Since an esthetic case begins with a photo and ends with a photo, photography is an essential skill for a member in the Accreditation process to master. The ability to achieve consistent and properly exposed images for each before and after will be paramount for their success. This course intends to outline a systematic approach to camera equipment, lighting, settings, and lab communication to achieve a predictable result each time.
