5 Social Media Post Ideas For The Busy Cosmetic Dentist

May 16, 2020 by AACD Executive Office

It's important to post to your social media pages daily, but as a busy cosmetic dentist, somedays you just don’t have the time.

Having a strong social media presence, and posting interesting content to your page regularly is a crucial part of maintaining an active social media presence for your practice. In fact, we suggest posting to your Facebook and Instagram pages every day.

"Your everyday posts don’t have to be elaborate to be effective."

Between scheduling appointments, treating patients, and all the miscellaneous tasks in between that interrupt your schedule, it can be easy to neglect your practice's social media pages. Your everyday posts don’t have to be elaborate to be effective. We’ve found that the most successful practice posts are simple, fun, and focused on people. These types of posts help patients, and potential patients, connect with you on a personal level, building trust, and making them more likely to call you or introduce your practice to family and friends.

Check out these 5 Facebook and Instagram post ideas for cosmetic dentists that you and your team can complete in just a few minutes!

  1. Tell a joke - One of the main purposes people use social media is to have fun. Don’t be afraid to show some humor on your Facebook page! Your social media is not a medical journal, it's a place to show the human side of your practice. You can provide value to your patients and followers by simply making them smile.

  2. Choose a patient of the day - Make a patient the star of your practice for the day by snapping and sharing a photo with them! It’s a quick, easy way to show that establishing relationships and going the extra mile for your patients is important to you. You can receive permission to share the photo with this free downloadable HIPAA consent form.

  3. Highlight a charity your practice donates to or participates in - Show prospective patients, current patients, and your social media followers that you’re a practice that you know the importance of community involvement. Explain how you participate in your charity and include one of their articles or videos or photos of you and your team participating!

  4. Share a team photo - Cosmetic dentists across the country report that one of the best ways they have kickstarted their social media engagement is by sharing photos of team members. When patients see your team online, they engage with you on a personal level. Posting team photos allows you to strengthen the relationships that keep patients coming back to you and sharing your practice with their friends.Dr. Ryan

  5. Spotlight a team member - Spotlight a team member by sharing a few interesting facts and things you appreciate about them! The more familiar potential patients are with your team and practice culture, the more comfortable they will be calling or coming in for the first time.
