​The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is delighted to announce that Amanda N. Seay, DDS, FAACD, has assumed the role of President. Dr. Seay brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new position, having been an active member of the AACD since 2002. She became an AACD Accredited dental professional in 2014 and became an Accredited Fellow in 2020, reflecting her commitment to excellence in esthetic dentistry. ​

Throughout her tenure with the AACD, Dr. Seay has served in various leadership capacities, including as a Board Member and Vice President. Her extensive involvement has provided her with a deep understanding of the Academy's mission and goals.​

Dr. Seay maintains a full-time private practice in Charleston, South Carolina that focuses on comprehensive restorative dentistry. She holds a Clinical Instructor position at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Seay is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, a fellow of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics, and an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She was named Top 25 Women in Dentistry in 2012 by Dental Products Report. Dr. Seay was the recipient of the Lucy Hobbs 2015 award for "The Woman to Watch in Dentistry." She was named one of 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry in 2021 and 2022, serves as the restorative editor for Inside Dentistry, and is one of three national directors for the Seattle Study Club.

As President, Dr. Seay is poised to lead the AACD into a promising future, focusing on advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and supporting the professional growth of its members. The AACD community warmly welcomes Dr. Seay to her new role and looks forward to her leadership in the coming year.
