The AACD was thrilled to recognize a number of outstanding members during the 31st Annual AACD Scientific Session in San Francisco.

Some of the Academy's most accomplished and dedicated professionals were honored with Celebration of Excellence awards, known as the Evy, on May 8 during the Celebration of Excellence Gala.

Evy recipients are first nominated for the award by their colleagues and then are selected by the Awards and Recognition Committee. Evy award winners represent the most exemplary and talented individuals within the AACD who are dedicated to advancing excellence in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and to the highest standards of ethical patient care.

The 2015 Evy recipients and their awards are as follows:

• Dr. Peter Auster – 2015 Humanitarian of the Year
• Dr. Scott Finlay – 2015 Outstanding Service to the Academy Award
• Dr. Ed Lowe – 2015 Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry Award
• Dr. Buddy Mopper – 2015 Outstanding Innovation in Cosmetic Dentistry Award
• Dr. Bradley J. Olson – 2015 Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry Education Award
• Dr. Dennis Wells – 2015 Rising Star Award
• Dr. Marty Zase – 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award (pictured at top)
